PRESSURE CONTROL TRAINER 3414
The pressure inside pressure tank is sensed by pressure sensor with transmitter.
A pneumatic control valve adjusts compressed air flow from the tank. The process
parameter (pressure) is controlled through computer controller by manipulation
the control valve. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on support
housing designed for tabletop mounting.
PRESSURE CONTROL TRAINER 3414-A
The pressure inside pressure tank is sensed by pressure sensor with transmitter.
A pneumatic control valve adjusts compressed air flow from the tank. The process
parameter (pressure) is controlled through computer or up controller by manipulating
the control valve. These units along with necessary piping are fitted on support
housing designed for tabletop mounting.
CASCADE CONTROL TRAINER 3415
The process setup consists of supply water tank fitted with pump for water
tank fitted with pump for water circulation. Level sensor is fitted on transparent
process tank. The water flow to the tank is sensed with orifice meter. The
water flow (secondary loop) to the process is controlled by pneumatic control
valve to maintain the level (primary loop) under cascade control logic. The
process parameter is controlled through computer. These units along with necessary
piping are fitted on support housing designed for tabletop mounting.

Setup consists of flow measurement units under study, supply tank, Submersible pump for closed loop water circulation, acrylic measuring tank with graduated scale and differential pressure measuring arrangement mounted on standalone structure.
PNEUMATIC P+I CONTROLLER 3417
The setup is designed to study working principles of pneumatic controller and
its tuning under proportional, proportional + integral modes. Setup consists
of flapper nozzle type pneumatic controller, pneumatic control valve, pressure
receiver, air filter regulator and necessary piping. The pressure in the pressure
in the pressure receiver is sensed by the controller and is maintained at constant
value by actuating pneumatic control valve.
CONTROL VALVE CHARACTERISTICS 3418
The setup is designed to understand the control valve operation and its flow
characteristics. It consists of pneumatic control valves of linear and equal
percent type, stainless steel water tank with pump for continuous water circulation
and rotameter for flow measurement. The pressure at the valve inlet can be
measured. An air regurlator and pressure gauge is provided for regulated air
supply to the control valve actuation. These units along with necessary piping
and fitting are mounted on stand alone type structure frame.
TYPE: 318 : 2 Valves (Linear + Equal%)
CONTROL VALVE CHARACTERISTICS 3418-B
The setup is designed to understand the control valve operation and its flow
characteristics. It consists of pneumatic control valves of linear and equal
percent type, stainless steel water tank with pump for continuous water circulation
and rotameter for flow measurement. The pressure at the valve inlet can be
measured. An air regulator and pressure gauge is provided for regulated air
supply to the control valve actuation. These units along with necessary piping
and fitting are mounted on stand alone type structure frame.
TYPE: 318B : 3 Valves (Linear + Equal% + Quick opening)
FIRST ORDER & SECOND ORDER SYSTEM 3420B
The set up is designed to study of transient response of first-order and second-order systems.
First Order System:
- Step response of thermometer
- Step response of thermo well
- Sinusoidal response of thermo well
Second Order System:
- Step response of mercury manometer
- Step response of manometer
Setup consists of 'U' tube manometer, heating bath, thermometer, thermo well, beeper for recording observations and timer for heater on-off operation. The components are mounted on base plate. The set up is tabletop mountable.
PLC TRAINER 3421
PLC trainer set up is designed to demonstrate working capabilities of PLC,
its programming and ladder logic. The setup is working model of water filling
system consisting of different types of input (6)/outputs (3) like float switches,
micro switch, solenoid valves, pump and push buttons. The PLC unit can be interfaced
with computer through serial communication for software programming. It can
also be operated in simulation mode to develop and study different ladder logic.
The setup is tabletop mounted with in built control module.
TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT 3422
The setup is designed to study
- Different types of temperature sensors for characteristics and time constants.
- Seebeck effect
- Temperature indicator and its calibration
- Temperature transmitter and its calibration
- Compensating cable, thermocouple connector
It consists of
- Temperature sensors such as mercury in glass thermometer, bimetal dial thermometer, RTD, thermistor and thermocouple.
- Temperature indicator
- Two wire temperature transmitter with power supply
- Thermocouple connector and compensating cable
- Bare elements of RTD, Thermistor, Thermocouple to visualize actual elements.
Hot water bath, Ice bath, Multimeter and 4.1/2 Digit Milivoltmeter.
FLAPPER - NOZZLE SYSTEM 3423
The set up helps in understanding conversion of mechanical motion to pressure signal. It consists of flapper - nozzle mechanism, Dial gauge indicator, pressure gauges and air filter regulator. A regulated supply of pressure, usually over 20 psig, provides a source of air through the restriction.
The nozzle is open at the end where the gap exists between the nozzle and flapper and air escapes in this region.
